NeoConstellation: New Beginnings Episode IV: Pet Peeves ================================ "Hey, Lola." Tori swung her backpack down on the floor in Lola's apartment and smiled. "What's up?" "Hi." Said Lola, full of happiness as always. "Look at this. My mom brought him." She held up a little black and white puppy. No mark or anything. Tori smiled and took him from her to look at him better. "He's cute." She said, and scratched it under the chin. Lola got up and brushed dirt from the floor off of her. "His name's John. We call him Jack." Tori laughed. "Certainly. Hiya, Jack." She gently put the puppy back onto the floor. It tottered after them as they made their way into the kitchen. _______________________________________________________________________ EPISODE 4 PET PEEVES _______________________________________________________________________ Hercules snorted and stopped short. "We've been walking for at least two hours." He said. "I think something would've moved by now." Orion nodded her agreement. "This is stupid." "Well," Cassiopeia started, "if you'd like to turn around, go back, and get captured all over again, you're certainly welcome to." And with that, she turned around and started walking again. Shelby looked around hopelessly. Gemini shrugged. "She's the only one who knows what we're doing. I think." "Hmm." Said Hercules, and began walking again. "Got it." Said Lola. "Let's go." Tori grabbed her backpack again and slung it over one shoulder. "This'd better be worth it. Hey, this is *heavy*." Jack popped his head out of the bag. "Jack, get out of there." Said Lola, grabbing his middle and lifting him out." Then she laughed. "How'd he get in there, anyway?" Said Tori, zipping up the bag. Then she noticed a glitter of something in Jack's mouth. She stared. "That dog... is chewing... that dog is chewing on the Millennium Heart. He's chewing on that and he doesn't even know what it is." She bent down to try and get it away from him. Jack stood his ground. "Mine." He growled. Tori stood up straight, shocked. "Did you... did you hear that?" Lola nodded. "Mine." Jack growled again. "I want the White Star girl." "Aw, man." Tori sighed. "First teachers, and now _dogs_?" "Mine." Jack said. "What is this, he only knows one word?" "Mine. Girl." "Two." Said Lola. Tori stared at the dog. It was still chomping the Millennium Heart. Then it promptly spat it out, and stood there, staring at it and growling. "How do you open it, anyway??? Grrrr!" "Like this. Here, I'll do it for you." And with that, Lola reached forward and grabbed the thing. Jack sat there and whined. Tori stared, and then accepted the Heart when Lola tossed it to her. "Pegasus Millennium Heart, Make-up!" "Hey Jack..." Said Sailor Pegasus. The puppy cocked it's head to the left. "Millennium Healing." When the silver mist had cleared, the puppy was nowhere. "What the hell!?" Shouted Pegasus. "I'm over here!" Barked Jack, and jumped from an overhead cabinet to land of Peggy's head. "Jack!" Exclaimed Lola. "Bad puppy! Bad!" Jack whined and backed off Pegasus. "I told you a thousand times... _no jumping on visitors!!_" Pegasus got up slowly and shook the hair out of her eyes. Gemini looked over toward Shelby. His face was kind of... pained looking. _That's not a good thing, is it?_ Gemini leaned over toward Shelby, pulled him aside for a minute. "What's happening?" "I'm not sure." Came the reply. "Something's up with the Crystal..." "Millennium Healing." Said Pegasus, aiming for the puppy, who now considered himself worthless. After all was said and done, Tori turned toward Lola. "How'd you know that would work?" She asked, patting Jack on the head. Lola shrugged. "It just seemed to be right, and it was worth a try, so I did it. Not much else to explain."
